Stambia implements the ELT principles in order to provide the best level of performance on databases.

The E-LT Stambia Approach consists in doing the transformations on the underlying systems without adding a proprietary engine.

The transformations are made by the databases or other technologies (OLAP, Operating Systems, etc.) according to their transformation capabilities. Stambia will use all the native components of the underlying technologies (such as the database loaders) to maximize the performance.

Connection and transformation through JDBC standard

Stambia uses JDBC as the standard way to connect to databases.

JDBC allows native access to all the databases without the need to install any connector or any database client API.

Stambia can be connected to any system, even those not planned by the Research and Development team.

 

Flexible and adaptable solution

Stambia, in the form and manner of using a technology, is not static ("hard-coded").

The user, alone or in conjunction with the support team or partner, can adapt the description of the technologies to take advantage of all the features of his database

The template approach

The concept of templates (graphics process models) enables Stambia to adapt to each database, producing a specific and readable code.

Templates are editable and reusable components.

This allows technical teams to easily optimize data flows which, by their complexity or processed volume, need special attention.

Open Connector for Teradata

Optimize your Teradata data flows

The Open Connector for Teradata is the best way to simplify interaction (extraction or integration of data) with the Teradata MPP system, providing a high level of productivity with an amazing simplicity.

With the same agility as the other Stambia connectors, the Teradata Open Connector is directly usable and offers a high level of performance due to the ELT approach of the transformation and the use of native tools and specifities of Teradata.

The Model Driven Approach of Stambia (templates) is used to adapt the connector to all types of projects.

 

Native reverse engineering

Stambia allows to reverse any type of information, either standard information such as schemas, tables and columns, but also specific information such as primary indexes and other metadata specificities.

Moreover, the Stambia Model Driven Approach gives the opportunity to adapt (add) specific metadata which can then be used to optimize or process specific operations.

 

Intelligent integration and extraction methods

Stambia uses specific methods adapted to Teradata in order to integrate or extract the data.

Load or export can be done using tools such as Teradata Parallel Transporter, Fastload, Multiload, Fastexport and other utilities provided by Teradata.

The incremental mode of integrating the data proposes different methods such as "insert and update", renaming table methods, "delete and insert" methods or "merge" operations.

Primary indexes and statistics are detected and used to improve the performance.

"Query band" can be used to track the SQL orders generated by Stambia and provide a way to optimize and master the processes.

Replication and synchronisation component

The replication component of Stambia allows to quicly replicate data from any third party database towards Teradata. This is particularly useful when initializing a new Teradata database, in order to initiate and migrate the database from an existing third party database.

This can be done with simple parameters and without any complex designs.

The Stambia universal mappings can also be used to complete and adapt the replication process in case there is a need to implement business specificities.

This component is optimized for Teradata and the underlying third party databases. This will bring the best level of performance.

 

Used for both Business Intelligence and real-time projects

The connector is a part of a complete data integration solution which can be used to load large amounts of data for datawarehousing projects, using other Stambia connectors to many databases such as Oracle, Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, MySQL...

It can also be used to include realtime data into Teradata, using other application connectors of Stambia, in order to connect to other ERP such as SAP or Salesforce.

The Netezza Open Connector for Stambia is the best way to simplify interaction (extraction or integration of data) with the Netezza MPP system from IBM, providing a high level of productivity with an amazing simplicity.

 

With the same agility as the other Stambia connectors, the Netezza Open Connector is directly usable and offers a high level of performance due to the ELT approach of the transformation and the use of native tools and specificities of Netezza. All preconfigured templates can also be adapted to the customer’s needs in order to provide the best solution.

Simplify data integration with your cloud components

The Open Connector for Amazon is the best way to simplify interaction (extraction or integration of data) with the Amazon cloud technologies, including Amazon S3 , Amazon Redshift or Amazon RDS .

With the same agility as the other Stambia connectors, the Amazon Open Connector is directly usable and offers a high level of performance due to the ELT approach of the transformation.

It is possible to address any type of project including Business Intelligence in the Cloud

All preconfigured templates can also be adapted to the customer’s needs in order to provide the best solution and fit with all your needs.

 

Connectivity to S3

S3 is the protocol defined by Amazon to push information, such as flat files, into the Amazon cloud environment.

Stambia enables pushing files or extacting data from traditional relational databases to Amazon S3. This data can then be managed by other cloud applications or by other Stambia integration processes.

 

Integration to Redshift and RDS databases

Stambia enables the loading of Redshift or RDS tables from any other source whether from the local systems or from the cloud information systems. The Amazon RDS databases can be Oracle, My SQL, Postgre SQL or other compliant databases.

Stambia supports massive data loading with a high level of performance, using the native functionalities of Redshift (Or RDS) and Amazon S3 to load the data.

Stambia gives the possibility to choose different strategies for the integration part : simple append, incremental integration, slowly changing dimensions. The management of rejects and business rules is integrated and optimized for Redshift or RDS.

Stambia will generate the appropriate SQL orders needed to improve the performance on such databases.
