Reverse engineering of XML files is done respecting the recognized standards, through an XSD definition or through a direct reverse of the file.

Writing XML data

Stambia can integrate the data into an XML file in one single mapping and this regardless of the complexity of the XML file.

In the example presented here the target of the mapping is an XML file, consisting of multiple hierarchies.

While still readable, one single mapping can feed an XML file containing very deep hierarchies, containing multiple occurrences of the same elements, or an XML file consisting of juxtaposed hierarchies.

 

Reading of XML data

The Stambia approach of the mapping provides also the optimum way to read complex files in order to load multiple targets, with a very high level of performance.

The "multi-target" approach of the mapping remains simple, while allowing to load multiple targets from a single file. The files will only be loaded one time, but the data will be sent at the same time into multiple targets.

This will provide a high level of performance to read, use and transform source XML files.

 

Replication of XML files

The integration of XML files (XML sources) into a target can also be automated using the replicator component. This component allows you to browse a directory and massively integrate XML files into a relational database.

In this case, there is no mapping, thus no development. The replicator is able to create a relational structure from the hierarchical structure of the file and to fill the database with the files that have been found in the folder.

Writing JSON Data

Stambia can manage JSON files as sources or targets of a mapping, in a way that is performant and easy to design.

In one single mapping, Stambia can load complex JSON files regardless of the deepness or the number of hierarchies.

 

Reading JSON data

In the same way, through the multiple-target approach of the mapping, Stambia can read complex JSON files and load them into multiple targets.

Each file will be only read once, and thus it provides the maximum performance.

 

JSON Files replication

Coupled to the Stambia replication component, the connector allows you to replicate a hierarchical JSON model into a standard relational database.

JSON and web services

JSON can also be the input or the output part of a web service. The way to manage the JSON format will be the same as for a mapping using an XML exchange format.

Stambia can directly reverse the web service description including the JSON definition.

If the web service definition doesn't provide the JSON input or output definition, it's possible to associate a JSON file definition to the web service definition in order to complete the metadata.

In that case, the mappings are very simple to implement.

The Stambia connector for files allows to integrate or generate any type of file, whether simple (flat, positional, delimited ...) or complex and composed of hierarchies.

The file description is graphical and wizard-assisted.

 

Writing hierarchical files

Coupled with a mapping, the file handling is intuitive and only needs a simple drag / drop of fields.

Mappings can write complex files, composed of distinct and deep hierarchies.

 

Reading hierarchical files

Reading such files stays simple and performant, allowing in one single mapping to load multiple targets.

Data is only read once, even if multiple tables have to be loaded from a same file.

JDBC/SQL integration

The hierarchical files connector, which is a JDBC driver, can read or write delimited or fixed length files and can manage occurrences inside a same line (variable length of the same type of line).

Once the description of the file has been done, it is possible to perform simple SQL orders to read the file as if it was a compound of multiple tables.
